In a time of challenge and adversity, AGI SureTrack continues to expand, develop, and serve their customers through new programs, products, and resources.
With nearly 30 years of employee training and development experience, Randy Koch recently began his new role with the AGI SureTrack’s Lenexa, Kansas team as Training Manager. Prior to AGI SureTrack, Koch worked in five or six different industries including Koch Industries, Inc., and Tyson Foods. The team is excited for the training initiative expertise and experience that Koch has to offer!
Robin Walters, AGI SureTrack’s Director Marketing said over the last 12-13 months, AGI SureTrack has grown in strength, skills, pivoted in their communication platforms to still reach customers, and added an entire training team to streamline customer experience.
“There has been so much opportunity in the last 12 months, with some disruption and heartache as well, but so much opportunity and the gift of being able to learn new things and communicate in different ways,” Walters said.
After working from home throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Walters said the team is finally back working in-person at the Lenexa office headquarters and is eager to work together to create new initiatives and products. “Knowing that if we need to pivot, we’re now prepared and ready to take that on,” Walters said.
Throughout the pandemic, AGI SureTrack founded a new training team, with Koch leading the charge in employee training, onboarding new hires, and improving current training practices. Koch said one of SureTrack’s top initiatives is hosting their clinics to share company history, educate on the connected farm, and provide information on grain conditioning and technology software and marketing and merchandising.
By attending clinics, Walters said customers gain peer to peer conversations and can get their hands on new products, while also learning new practices and methods.
“We’re teaching growers when they come into clinic what you can do with new technology, and what it means to their operation and legacy,” Walters said.
Another big initiative to help streamline training and information that the AGI SureTrack team is working on, is a new Learning Management System (LMS) resource tool. Koch said the LMS resource will allow the training team to have a central location for new customers and team member or existing team member documents, videos, and references — as well as grant the ability to assign and track training and needs.
Koch said AGI SureTrack is still going to provide instructor led courses, but the goal within the LMS program is to incorporate a self-directed learning style. Just like going to a clinic, SureTrack hopes that LMS will provide farmers and customers with readily available resources and data information.
“It doesn’t matter where you’re at in the organization, or a new team member, customer, or existing,” Koch said, “We want LMS to be the one stop shop for training and a resource both internally and externally.”
As learning and technology continues to advance, Koch, Walters and the entire AGI SureTrack team are looking forward to the advancements and programs that AGI SureTrack has to offer.
“We have a lot of exciting things going on and we’re going to stay on that trajectory and keep moving forward,” Walters said.
